The Load Limit Workshop

You can be capable and still be carrying too much.

The Load Limit Workshop is a live, hands-on experience designed to help you figure out what is draining your time and energy, identify what is keeping you overloaded, and build a practical system for taking back control.

Think of it as an operational audit for your life.

In heavy lifting, every piece of equipment has a Working Load Limit (WLL)—the maximum load it can safely handle. Go beyond that limit long enough and something eventually gives.

People have limits too.

But instead of measuring the load, we tend to keep adding to it.

Responsibilities. Financial pressure. Other people's emergencies. Poor communication. Unfinished tasks. Constant interruptions. Commitments we never should have agreed to. Decisions that keep getting pushed off.

Eventually, being overloaded starts to feel normal.

The Load Limit Workshop helps you stop guessing and actually examine the load.

This isn't about becoming better at carrying everything.

It's about deciding what should be carried in the first place.

During the workshop, you'll look at your actual schedule, responsibilities, boundaries, habits, and sources of friction. Then we'll use the TAKEHOLD Framework to work through them systematically.

The concepts come from the trades, heavy equipment, and the jobsite because they make something complicated very simple:

Know the load. Find the failure point. Fix the system.

You'll use the Working Load Limit to understand your real capacity.

You'll use the Crosby Hook and safety latch to determine what you're carrying and what needs to be unlatched.

You'll use the Pawn vs. Queen mindset to examine whether you're constantly reacting to what's happening around you or making deliberate moves with authority.

You'll use the excavator to dig beneath surface complaints like “I'm exhausted,” “I don't have enough time,” or “everything feels chaotic” and identify the actual bottleneck underneath them.

And you'll use the padlock and key to turn the changes you make into systems you can repeat after the workshop is over.

What You'll Actually Do

This isn't a motivational seminar where you listen for an hour, feel inspired, and go back to the same life Monday morning.

You'll work.

Across the workshop, you'll audit your current capacity, identify your biggest bottleneck, determine what needs to come off your load, establish a hard boundary, and build a repeatable way to protect it.

You'll work directly inside your Load Limit Companion Workbook as we move through the exercises together.

The goal isn't perfection.

The goal is clarity you can act on.

What You'll Leave With

By the end of the experience, you'll complete your own:

MY LOAD LIMIT OPERATING SYSTEM

A one-page summary of the system you've built during the workshop.

It identifies:

  • Your Working Load Limit score — where your capacity actually stands.

  • Your #1 bottleneck — the primary source of friction draining your time or energy.

  • What you're unlatching — the responsibility, behavior, expectation, or unnecessary load you're no longer carrying.

  • Your hard boundary — what changes from this point forward.

  • Your enforcement system — the repeatable action that keeps that boundary from disappearing when life gets busy again.

So when the workshop ends, you should be able to say:

I know my load limit.
I know my #1 bottleneck.
I know what I'm no longer carrying.
I know the boundary I'm setting.
And I have a system for enforcing it.

That's the point of the Load Limit Workshop.

Not to teach you how to carry more.

To help you TAKEHOLD of what you're carrying in the first place.
