The YTT Jacket: Built From the Job, Not a Design Studio
For years, I showed up to the jobsite making the same compromise every tradesperson knows — layer the jacket, throw the high-vis over it, hope it all holds together through a 10-hour shift. Nothing fit right. Nothing worked together. And none of it felt like it was made for someone who actually takes pride in how they show up.
I’m a heavy equipment operator. I’ve spent years in demanding environments where staying warm, staying visible, and staying professional aren’t optional — they’re the job. But the gear never reflected that. It reflected an industry that treated PPE as an afterthought and tradespeople as an audience that would just take what they were given.
The YTT Jacket is my answer to that.
It integrates a concealed high-visibility system directly into a jacket people actually want to wear. Hidden until necessary. Deployed when it counts. No layering. No compromise. Built from real jobsite experience — not a trend report.
What YTT Means
Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
Yesterday shaped who I am. Today is where I do the work. Tomorrow is what I’m building toward. That’s the mindset behind this jacket — ownership, consistency, and the understanding that the life you want is built one day at a time.
It goes deeper than that too. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. And working safe means we maximize our chances of going home to our families — yesterday, today, and tomorrow. YTT isn’t a product name. It’s a reminder of what we’re working for.
Who It’s For
This jacket was built with tradespeople in mind first — operators, laborers, electricians, welders, truck drivers, and anyone working in environments that demand both function and toughness.
But it’s really for builders of all kinds. People who take pride in what they do. People who understand that what they do today shapes tomorrow.
And it matters deeply to me that women in the trades finally have gear designed with them in mind — not as an afterthought, not as a shrunken version of something built for someone else. The YTT Jacket was designed for the people actually doing the work.
Why This Matters
Most workwear companies sell clothing. TAKEHOLD is building identity.
The YTT Jacket isn’t just about staying warm and visible. It’s about creating products that represent the people wearing them — the builders, creators, and tradespeople who are constructing a bigger future for themselves and their families, one day at a time.
That’s the mission. That’s the jacket.
